New information doesn't change hearts and minds, new experiences do.

Through immersive games and simulations, we build trust, explore complexity, and shed light on new perspectives.

The Climate Simulation Games

The Climate Simulation Games is a live, interactive role-play simulation where participants learn to build strategies, negotiate and take action on climate change in real-time.

Role Play Simulations

Role Play Simulations are an established experiential learning method where understanding is built across different perspectives and competing interests. The games I design are engaging and playful, yet grounded in real data and political dynamics.

  • WHAT WE SEE ON THE GROUND

Deepening polarization, low institutional trust, and mis- and disinformation - especially around climate and science - are fragmenting communities and stalling collective action.

    THE GAP WE ADDRESS

More facts or better evidence rarely shift beliefs and can even deepen division. What’s missing is not only information, but trust, empathy, and a shared experiential understanding of complexity.

HOW WE REBUILD TRUST, EMPATHY AND UNDERSTANDING

Through play, games help fill this gap. Participants experience polarization, power, and trade-offs firsthand, but also discover how we can find solutions. They invite people to listen differently, collaborate more deeply, and imagine alternative possibilities. They show us that new experiences change minds, not just new information.

  • Since 2022, hundreds of climate activists and community organizers from around the world have participated in RPS games I facilitate., Many participants have also contributed to their design, improvement, and facilitation.

Interactive RPS like the Climate Simulation Games® have become a flagship feature on the agenda of the annual Climate Justice Camp,a global gathering which has grown into the largest in-person organizing platform of its kind.

  • Designed using a participatory inclusive methodology, the games I build are highly adaptable to local needs. The stakeholders represented are tailor-made and developed in collaboration with field experts, local grassroots movements, and community organizations.

Sessions range from a 3-hour workshop to multi-day immersive experiences.

    COMING SOON!

Three new thematic versions of the Games (Water, Energy, Agriculture) are currently under development. They allow communities to engage deeply with issues most relevant to them, explore local stakeholders and advocacy pathways, and support the emergence of transformative, locally grounded solutions.
